This document discusses a study on the relationship between hypnoanesthesia and the degree of pain during intrauterine device (IUD) insertion. The study divided 62 women receiving IUDs into a hypnoanesthesia group and a standard insertion group. It found that the hypnoanesthesia group had lower median pain scores during insertion and greater pain reduction afterwards compared to the standard group. The study concluded that hypnoanesthesia is correlated with a decreased degree of pain during IUD insertion.
