This study investigates the mechanical recycling of post-industrial PC/ABS blends from automotive scraps, focusing on the challenges of varying compositions in recycled materials. An I-optimal mixture design model was developed to quickly determine the composition of these blends based on infrared absorbance ratios and Izod impact resistance results. The findings suggest that this approach can enhance recycling methodologies and facilitate the reintegration of plastic waste into the market.
