What is History and Development of Agriculture about?

Farming began in an area known as the Fertile Crescent which had good soil and a water supply from the Nile River. Early farmers in this desert region used the seasonal flooding of the Nile to water their crops and later developed irrigation ditches to move water from the river to their fields allowing them to farm year-round. These early farmers grew crops and also began domesticating animals to produce food and become an important part of developing agriculture.
