The court held that the trial court erred in requiring liquidation, partition, and distribution of properties before issuing a decree of absolute nullity of marriage. For marriages declared void due to psychological incapacity under Article 36, the property relations are governed by the rules on co-ownership, not Articles 147 or 148 of the Family Code. Liquidation can be done separately in accordance with the Civil Code. In a separate case, the court also held that for relationships governed by Article 148,
