What is Osmanya Script about?

The Somali language, an Afro-Asiatic Cushitic language, is primarily spoken in Somalia and surrounding regions, with an estimated 15 to 25 million speakers. The Latin alphabet was adopted as the official writing system in 1972, replacing the earlier Osmanya alphabet. Currently, the SSWAHS Health Care Interpreter Service employs four Somali interpreters.
