Tandang Sora was born in 1812 in Balintawak, Quezon City. She was literate but never attended school, and performed singing at local events and masses. She supported the Philippine Revolution by housing secret meetings of revolutionaries, providing medical aid, and encouraging them, despite facing interrogation and deportation by Spanish authorities. Known as the "Mother of the Philippine Revolution", she lived to age 107, passing away in 1919. She remains an honored figure in Philippine history.
