The standard installation layout for copper tube involves brazing a 11⁄2" outlet copper tee into a drained section of pipe before filling it. A 1" full port ball valve and hot tap adapter are then installed in the tee, with an o-ring seal and position clamping nut to allow removal and reinsertion of the flow meter without shutting down the system.
