What is Newfoundland Education Funding Approval about?
The Executive Council of Newfoundland and Labrador approved a minute from their meeting on October 29, 2010. Under this minute, the Lieutenant Governor in Council authorized the Department of Education to pre-commit $10 million from its 2010-2011 budget to facilitate the early start and completion of major maintenance and building envelope projects. This $10 million pre-commitment was authorized under section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act.
