What is Jimmy Scarecrow about?

Jimmy Scarecrow is lonely during the winter months when he has no job scaring crows. On Christmas Eve, he sees Santa Claus delivering presents but does not receive one. The young girl Betsey feels bad for Jimmy and gives him her doll as a present. Later, when a rainstorm soaks Jimmy and the doll, he cries out to Santa Claus. Santa hears him and offers Jimmy a new job scaring polar explorers at the North Pole.
