This study investigates the antifungal activity of ten biocides against moulds isolated from frescoes in two Romanian churches. Results showed varying effectiveness of the biocides, with Biotin T, Algophase, and C3 demonstrating the highest inhibitory activity, while Capsaicin showed no effect. The findings highlight the importance of selecting appropriate biocides based on the type of mould and concentration used for effective preservation of cultural heritage.
