The document describes the operating principle of an FBE hydraulic hammer. It has 3 stages: 1) Start up where oil pressurizes an accumulator to store energy. 2) Upward stroke where pressurized oil lifts the piston. 3) Impact stroke where stored pressurized oil rapidly drives the piston downward to strike a tool. The cycle then repeats as oil pressure is released and rebuilt to lift the piston again.
