What is Pool of Dreams about?
Eager to escape his dysfunctional home in the small town of Misty Lake, New Hampshire, Shane Hatch sacrifices everything to earn a swimming scholarship to college. Determined to prove himself, he trains nonstop and believes he is prepared for any challenge his new life can throw at him. Then he meets Jon, a fellow swimmer, who forces Shane to confront the secret feelings he has struggled his whole life to suppress. He can hardly believe it when Jon offers him friendship and even seems interested in more. At last, Shane thinks he has found a place to belong and a person who will shelter his fragile heart. Just when it seems Shane is about to find the love he has always denied himself, a scandal rocks the swim team and threatens to destroy both Shane and Jon’s futures. Being together could cost both of them everything they’ve worked for. Faced with a decision, Shane must decide just how much Jon means to him and just how much he is willing to risk to hold onto the love of a lifetime.
