What is Minimum Polarity Principle in Hubbard Model about?

The minimum polarity principle states that increasing the on-site repulsion U in the Hubbard model suppresses charge fluctuations in the system. For a half-filled nondegenerate band with no U, snapshots would show large charge fluctuations with 1/4 of sites doubly occupied and 1/4 empty. As U increases, charge fluctuations are suppressed as shown in the snapshots with more uniform electron distributions for intermediate and large U.
