What is Achilles LLLT Dosage Guidelines about?

Current recommendations specify that dosage for low level laser therapy (LLLT) should be provided in Joules (J), rather than Joules/cm2, to indicate the total energy delivered in a treatment. In lasers that do not automatically calculate Joules, the seconds of exposure required to deliver a desired number of Joules can be determined using the calculation: Joules = Watts x Seconds. Using Joules instead of Joules/cm2 will standardize dosages and allow for better comparison between treatment protocols.
