The Magnatone 480 features two complete pre-amp/power amp systems that can operate in stereo mode, driving four speakers in a combo cabinet. Each preamp channel has two gain stages with EQ, and the vibrato outputs from both channels are mixed and processed through a reverb stage before being sent to the power amps. A unique aspect of the design includes one speaker wired out-of-phase to enhance reverb effects, and the vibrato can be modulated in-phase or out-of-phase for stereo effects.
