What is KB-1 Sub-Munition Specifications and Operation about?

The KB-1 is a small sub-munition grenade deployed by rocket warheads. It contains a shaped main charge and external steel ball fragmentation. When deployed, a ribbon stabilizes and arms the grenade in flight. Upon impact, the inertia fuze detonates the 35g of high explosive, projecting shrapnel in a 60mm radius. Unarmed bomblets can be made safe by securing the detonator slider or destroying the grenade with a controlled demolition charge.
