This study investigated the effects of chronic imipramine treatment and/or swimming exercise on anxiety and memory in mice. Mice were given daily injections of imipramine (10, 20, or 30 mg/kg) or saline for 14 days and either participated in swimming exercise or remained sedentary. Tests showed that both imipramine treatment and swimming exercise reduced anxiety-like behaviors.
