This thesis develops programs for load flow analysis and contingency analysis of power systems using both Newton-Raphson and Fast Decoupled methods. It also analyzes symmetrical three-phase faults by modeling the faulted system and calculating bus voltages and line currents. The programs were applied to the IEEE 14-bus test system and results are presented for the load flow, contingency analysis due to network outages, and faults.
