What is Improve Speaking Skills with Short Stories about?

This study aimed to determine if the use of short stories could improve the speaking skills of 10th grade students at a public high school in Sigi, Indonesia. The study used a quasi-experimental design with an experimental class of 28 students and a control class of 26 students. Both classes took pre-and post-tests to measure speaking ability. Only the experimental class received lessons using short stories. The results showed that the experimental class significantly improved their average post-test scores
