About this document

Rivaroxaban vs Apixaban: Bleeding Risks in Seniors by ELAINE is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study compares the bleeding risk of rivaroxaban and apixaban in cancer-free patients aged 65 and older with venous thromboembolism. Results show that during primary treatment, rivaroxaban is associated with a higher risk of major bleeding compared to apixaban, while no significant difference in bleeding risk is observed during secondary treatment. Additionally, higher all-cause mortality is noted in patients treated with rivaroxaban, although no difference in recurrent pulmonary embolism is found.
