A new Huorinating reagent for the preparation of silicon ttuorides ib described. The preparation of Me,SiF,. (CHZ=CH)MeSiF,, EtSiF,. CH,=CHSiF,, wPrSiF,. wHexSiF,( Hex = C,,H, 4 1 and PhSiF, using Me,SnF is reported. The products are formed in high yield. The resulting Me,SnCI can be easily recovered and again converted to the tluorinating reagent.
