What is The Decapitated Generation of Ecuador about?

The Decapitated Generation was a group of four Ecuadorian poets in the early 20th century who were pioneers of the modernist movement in Ecuador. The four poets, two from Guayaquil and two from Quito, were influenced by Rubén Darío and French symbolic poetry. They all died at a young age, giving rise to the name "Decapitated Generation."
