The Duke of Aquitaine was gravely wounded during a crusade in Araby. Though his followers nursed him back to health in his castle, he rose from the dead as a vampire. Driven by an unquenchable thirst, he slaughtered his loyal knights and fed on the surrounding villages. Known as the Red Duke, he ruled Aquitaine as a terrifying vampire, ignoring summons from the king. In response, the king sent an army led by the Duke of Bordeleaux to defeat the Red Duke and end his tyrannical rule.
