A stool analysis was performed on a 9-year old female patient referred by Dr. Fatma Allam. The stool sample had a brown color and formed consistency with no blood, mucus, or worms seen on gross examination. Microscopic examination found 1-2 pus cells and 0-1 red blood cells per high-powered field within normal limits. No ova, bacteria, protozoa, fat, or muscle fibers were found. Moderate amounts of vegetables and starch were present. The analysis results were otherwise normal.
