## Southern Forest Fire Prevention Conference Plans for a South-wide conference of civic, business, and political leaders to attack the problems of wildfires in southern forests which cost more than a quarter of a billion dollars a year have neared completion according to Lowell Besley, executive director of the American Forestry Association. Endorsed by the Conference of Southern Governors, the meeting will be held in New Orleans April 1.3-14 and the general public is invited to participate along with representatives named by the governors of the various .states, said Besley, who is general chairman of the Southern Forest Fire Prevention Conference.
