What is Editorial about?
Papers published in the Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research are reviewed by at least two referees and frequently more. The comments of referees are essential in maintaining scientific standards and in guiding authors as to ways in which papers may be improved for publication. I am grateful to referees for their services and I am pleased once again to publish the names of those who assisted in refereeing papers submitted to the Journal in the calendar year 1996. Many of those listed refereed several papers and their continued support in this way is particularly appreciated. It is my custom to acknowledge the help of referees individually at the time but I am now pleased to repeat my thanks collectively to these referees in a public way.
