What is Encouraging Independent Exploration in Children about?

Jana is a cautious explorer who waits for an invitation to try new activities. Once engaged, she fully explores with enjoyment. At playdough time, Jana waited until asked to join, then carefully poked and rolled the dough with smiles of discovery. Providing secure environments for children to independently explore supports learning and identity formation through emotional security and inquiry.
