What is Overview of Baka and Test Series about?

Baka and Test is a Japanese light novel series about Akihisa Yoshii, an idiot who attends Fumizuki Academy where students are divided into classes based on test scores. At the school, students can summon avatars to do battle between classes for better classroom amenities. Akihisa wants to help his low-scoring Class F capture privileges from the higher classes. An anime adaptation was produced in 2010 and a second season aired in 2011.
