What is Kohler about?

Wolfgang Kohler was a Gestalt psychologist who studied insight learning through experiments with his chimpanzee subject Sultan. He found that insight learning involves suddenly understanding relationships to solve problems, as seen when Sultan used boxes and sticks to reach food. Kohler identified 4 stages of insight learning: preparation, incubation, insight, and verification.
