About this document

Quaternary Stratigraphy of Southwest Romania by Jason M. Snider is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document discusses the stratigraphy and geological structure of Quaternary formations in the southwest Romanian Plain based on analysis of 1055 wells. It finds that bending and unbraiding of the Danube River in the region was caused by major fault movements. The stratigraphy of lower and upper Danube Formation alluvial deposits from the Pleistocene and Holocene is also examined, finding they are affected by active faults.
