The compound is stabilized by water, and the structure of the stable compound in air, \(\alpha-\mathrm{Cs}_{2} \mathrm{U}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{7} \cdot 0.4 \mathrm{D}_{2} \mathrm{O}\), has been determined with neutron powder diffraction data.
