What is UCI Immunization Requirements Overview about?

The UC Immunization Plan went into effect in Fall 2015 and will require students to provide proof of certain vaccinations beginning in Fall 2017. The plan was implemented to prevent outbreaks of communicable diseases and follows the recommendations of the California Department of Public Health. While medical exemptions may be allowed, personal or religious exemptions will not be accepted. Students will be able to receive needed vaccinations from campus health services but may have to pay out of pocket costs
