This document describes the use of centrifugal partition chromatography to separate and isolate three bitter acids (humulone, cohumulone, and adhumulone) from a crude supercritical carbon dioxide extract of hop cones. Two solvent systems were tested - toluene-triethanolamine buffer and benzene-triethanolamine buffer.
