Alembic Pharmaceuticals received tentative approval from the US FDA for its generic version of Empagliflozin and Linagliptin tablets in 10mg/5mg and 25mg/5mg strengths. The generic tablets are equivalent to Glyxambi tablets from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals for treating type 2 diabetes. Alembic currently has 130 ANDA approvals from the US FDA including 17 tentative approvals.
