## When Os,(CO), &u4-S)(p3-S) (1) was heated to 125°C for 5 h in octane solvent, two new compounds Osg(CO) 1 6(p-S)2 (2), an isomer of 1, and Os,(CO),,(p,-S), (3) were obtained in low yields, 10 and 7%, respectively. Both compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The cluster of 2 can be described as two edgefused butterfly tetrahedra that are further connected by an osmium-osmium bond between the wing-tip metal atoms. Compound 3 contains a raft-like cluster of six osmium atoms. Five of the metal atoms lie in an approximate plane. The sixth is folded out of the plane by 1.17 A. Compound 3 also contains three triply-bridging sulphido ligands.
