This study examined lip prints from 200 individuals aged 17-25 years to determine if lip print patterns can be used to identify gender. Lip prints were collected and classified into five categories: vertical groove, branched groove, intersected groove, reticular groove, and undetermined. The most common patterns were branched groove in males (14.5%) and vertical groove in females (14%).
