About this document
Radiation Attenuation in Waste-Doped Concrete by Abdelhamid M. Younis is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The document investigates the radiation attenuation coefficients of different concrete mixtures containing waste materials. Four concrete mixtures were prepared with varying amounts of plastic, glass, and light bulb pieces added to a constant cement base. The attenuation coefficients of the concretes were measured for gamma rays from 137Cs and 60Co sources. The results showed that concretes with plastic, broken bulb, and fine bulb aggregates had lower attenuation coefficients than the glass-containing concr
