What is The Little Soul and the Sun Explained about?

This parable is about a little soul that wants to experience itself as the light. Though it knows itself to be the light, it cannot see or experience itself as such among the other grand souls that make up the All. The little soul asks God how it can satisfy its yearning, and God replies that it must separate itself from the others and call upon darkness. The little soul does so and encounters darkness. It cries out to God, who reassures it. The little soul then chooses to experience itself as forgiveness.
