This study investigates the synthesis and effectiveness of a ZnO/CuO catalyst for the degradation of methylene blue dye using solar radiation. The catalyst, created via the Pechini method, demonstrated a maximum removal efficiency of 93% at a calcination temperature of 500 °C. Results indicate that solar photocatalysis with this catalyst presents a viable method for treating toxic organic contaminants in water.
