What is miR-182 about?

The study identifies miR-182 as a regulator of apoptosis, growth, and differentiation programs in glioblastoma (GBM). miR-182 expression levels correlate with patient survival and targets the genes Bcl2L12, c-Met, and HIF2A. Spherical nucleic acids (SNAs) containing miR-182 were able to penetrate the blood-brain barrier in mouse models of GBM, reducing tumor burden and increasing survival.
