This qualitative study explores the barriers and enablers for women in resource-poor communities in Cape Town to consume a diverse diet. Key findings indicate that financial constraints, high food prices, and social influences limit dietary diversity, while individual preferences and community support can facilitate healthier choices. The study suggests that public health interventions should focus on addressing financial barriers to improve diet quality and reduce diet-related diseases.
