What is Stellar Nucleosynthesis Explained about?

Stars produce heavier elements through nuclear fusion, where lighter elements collide and fuse together at extremely high temperatures inside stars. This process, known as nucleosynthesis, is how most elements heavier than helium are created in stars. Elements with more protons require even higher temperatures to fuse, with carbon fusion needing temperatures of around one billion degrees. Many heavy elements from oxygen to iron are synthesized in large stars over ten times the mass of our Sun.
