What is NLUD Land Use and Cover Classification about?

The document describes the classification of land cover types in a National Land Use Database. It provides a baseline classification system and maps each type to an equivalent classification used by the NLUD. The baseline system includes categories for cropped land, orchards, grasslands, woodlands, wetlands, coastal areas, and man-made surfaces. The NLUD classification is less detailed but covers similar land cover types at higher levels for mapping and indexing purposes.
