This document describes a case study of a 29-year-old woman with hepatitis B who was treated with the herbal formulation HD-03/ES. After 5 months of treatment, tests showed a 48.6% reduction in hepatitis B surface antigen levels and disappearance of hepatitis B virus DNA according to PCR analysis. Liver function tests did not show any adverse effects from the treatment. In vitro studies also demonstrated that HD-03/ES can suppress hepatitis B surface antigen production by 94% and eliminate hepatitis B virus
