This case report describes an extensive infection caused by Trichophyton verrucosum in a 3-year-old boy from southwest China. The boy presented with multiple painful lesions on his face, trunk, arms, and scalp that had progressed over one month from erythematous patches to abscesses with alopecia, crusting, and discharge.
