What is Insights into Kant about?

Kant was born in 1724 in Königsberg, East Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia) to a family of modest means. His mother, who died when he was 14, had a profound influence on him, instilling in him a sense of piety. Kant attended the Pietist-run Collegium Fridericianum school in Königsberg. He would remain in Königsberg for his entire life, never traveling farther than a few miles outside the city.
