This thesis examines the pains and perks experienced by adopted children through qualitative interviews with five adopted youth ages 12 to 19. The study aimed to understand their perspectives and lived experiences. Key findings were that the participants primarily experienced benefits rather than difficulties, feeling supported, assisted, guided, and loved by their foster families.
