About this document

D-Dimer Levels and Stroke Outcomes by naselo5879 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This systematic review evaluates the predictive value of plasma D-dimer levels for functional outcomes and mortality in stroke patients. The analysis of 19 studies involving 5,781 patients indicates that higher D-dimer levels are associated with worse functional outcomes (Hazard ratio: 2.19) and increased mortality (Hazard ratio: 2.29). Subgroup analyses reveal that D-dimer levels are particularly predictive for ischemic stroke compared to intracerebral hemorrhage.
