This study evaluates real-time tumor motion monitoring using 2D/3D image registration during radiotherapy. X-ray images were acquired at 5.4 Hz and registered to CT/CBCT volumes to determine motion. Validation using a phantom showed a motion tracking error of 2.56 mm. Registration of five patient datasets also showed correlation with breathing cycles and good matching between X-rays and digitally reconstructed images, with a mean registration time of 0.5 seconds.
