NewGen Strategies and Solutions, LLC (NewGen) conducted an investigation into the establishment of a municipal electric utility to serve the residents and businesses of the City of Chicago, currently provided ComEd. The intent was to determine if the City should continue with its efforts to establish a locally controlled municipal electric utility. The City has determined it is not in the best interests of taxpayers to do so.
